Averil Kubit is a CDP Company Board member. Her love of dance began with her first ballet class at age 3. Training in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical and modern, she began competing with her dance studio and attending summer intensives at Ohio Dance Theatre in Oberlin, OH and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet in Carlisle, PA. In 2017, Averil earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, Minor in Psychology from the University of Akron where she was a member of the 2014-2015 Dance Team It was during this time she discovered her interest in fundraising and nonprofit development work.

Following graduation, Averil worked with DANCECleveland as their Administrative Coordinator and Development Assistant, providing support for individual donation solicitation, donor database management and customer service to subscribers and donors. She currently works for CWRU as Department Assistant II in the Siegal Lifelong Learning Program and was most recently a 2021 member of CDP Company.
